When planning for work at height, employers must also consider the:

  • Distance and consequences of any potential fall, the duration and frequency of use and the number of people working at height. Each of these factors will influence the risks associated with the work at height and the controls needed to reduce them.
  • Any additional risks posed by the installation, use and dismantling of the work equipment.
  • Effects of adverse weather conditions and what weather conditions would make using work at height equipment dangerous
