working at heights
Introduction
Falls from heights are one of the most prevalent causes of workplace injuries, involving both individuals and objects falling from varying heights. Such incidents can result in severe injuries and even fatalities, impacting workers and bystanders alike, including those engaged in construction, maintenance, and the general public.

The Work at Height Regulations 2007 (WAH Regulations) apply to all tasks conducted at elevated positions, whether within factories, warehouses, construction sites, or office environments. Therefore, it is imperative for both employers and employees to understand the measures that can be implemented to reduce the risk of falls and mitigate their consequences in workplaces where tasks are performed at heights.

This course offers guidance on understanding and managing the hazards associated with working at heights, ensuring full adherence to the WAH Regulations. It also provides an overview of commonly used work at height equipment and imparts knowledge on how to prevent, avert, and decrease risks, promoting a secure working environment.
